Pity this Tory government has never cracked down on the big businesses and the rich tax(avoidance)dodgers, they would have that much money all prescription would be free

Imagine living in the only part of the UK where they still charge for prescriptions and the imagine being charged for fraud for doing something in England that is free in the rest of the UK. Why does England vote Tory? The Tories don't care about you. #ToriesOut

Why blame just the “ Tories”? Labour ,in their 13 years , 97-10 did nothing to change it ! Labour stopped charges in 66 but quickly reinstated charges in 68 . Trouble with England is size of population versus Wales ,NI & Scotland. English always lose out .

Drug companies make billions and probably pay very lityle tax here. If the government had the balls to reform the tax laws, the money from taxes could sort this. But Tories, nor Labour will ever do this.

Not disagreeing with that ...my point was to correct previous tweet where he was just attacking Tories. Both parties have failed to address issue so ,in fairness, attack both .

Nonsense - the pharmacist knows which drugs have to be paid for and which are issued "free".

What are you on about ? It's not some are free and some are not. Some people are entitled to free prescriptions but most aren't.

No you are wrong - if you suffer from Epilepsy for example - your meds are exempt from charges. The Pharmacist will know by the drugs being issued whether they are charged for or not.

And you've completely missed the point, it's not about the medication, it's about the person. The pharmacist doesn't know looking at the medication whether the person is entitled to free prescriptions or has a PPC.
