Very important! It should be explored deeper in a documentary on iPlayer.

I mean we have the means to end a vast amount of co2 through wind farms, solar farms and nuclear energy but they don’t look nice and hippies
-
Solar and wind i'm all for, not forgetting hydro... nuclear not so much. Always that possibility of a meltdown on the horizon, to me it's just too much of a risk, and would screw the planet up even more than it already is for future generations.

As opposed to creating plastics and metals etc for physical media? The problem isn't the streaming, it's the creation of the electricity that powers it
-
The only way to create enough energy to power data centres is either by burning fuel or going nuclear.
-
That is absolutely false
-
You just don’t want to know the numbers :)
-
Quite the opposite, feel free to try and prove your point. There are plenty of ways to power data centers

It’s not just electric, it’s the creation of the data centres, every website, every poor piece of code making machines work harder burns more fuel. Until we have complete reliance on renewable energy or free energy this will be a problem.

Until the conversation focuses on the actual challenge we will not progress in altering our current path. Governments and big businesses must lead the way. Not bob and his iPad.
