Stunning from Grayling today. Basically says it’s not needed as he expects a deal, despite it being confirmed (NOT by gov) that its what the work is, and that nobody has had their say. MPs, councils, residents etc. But he will ‘discuss’ it with the MP that raised the issue

It's called planning, if the government didn't plan for the worst stituation how many would pile on with "there was no planning" "who would of thought" we are and showing we are. #brexitready

Is it planning when the work has already started?

It's being shut to see if can be used as a holding zone, it hasn't happened yet, that's at brexit no deal. That could happen.

So who's going to pay for the extra £20 of fuel I'll use to get to work?

Don’t worry, the potential increase in unemployment could eliminate the drive to work altogether...

People actually voted in favour of this type of thing happening. Many of them say it is worth it to leave the EU. Madness.

This feels just like the panic that was created over the ‘Millenium Bug’ happening all over again.

Not only that, but the Ashford trains that go through T&M are being diverted via Sevenoaks tonight due to planned engineering works. So can’t get home by train and can’t get someone to pick me up because the road is closed. Genius from the DfT
