It’s a foetus, not a baby. At this stage, the central nervous system hasn’t been developed to the point of having senses yet. It’d be another 12 weeks before the foetus is remotely viable outside the womb. Those are facts.

The UK government has devolved certain things to the 3 countries, and as such should not be expected to overrule things that some do not like. I am not saying I agree with NI but it is important the UK gov is not seen to interfere.

I suspect very few women regard abortion as casually as deciding to have a tooth extraction. And the difference between a foetus and a baby is more than ‘etiquette’.
