Yes, some friends of mine came across the same question when applying for a visa and we all thought it was hilarious that it's on there. As if a real terrorist is going to be like "Yeah, that's me, I better say yes on here." It also asks if you're a spy in the same question.

That’s fantastic, if ever the phrase “only in America” was invented for something it’s this. 🤣🤣

@elenip92 this reminds me of when we were doing TC applications and you accidentally ticked the box saying you had past criminal convictions 😂

lol. I wonder how many terrorists they've caught by ticking the box "Hey Dan, we've got one here who says he committed genocide. Should we interview him?"

I suspect the reason for that 'pointless' question is to enable/extend legal sanctions on an actual terrorist who amongst whatever other crimes would have also broken US Immigration Law which I believe (lawyers ???) removes any rights he/she may otherwise have on US soil.

I ticked that by accident once and it had a pop-up effectively saying "are you sure you meant that". Anyone who completes the application with that checked is definitely taking the piss. As anyone who has dealt with US immigration will know; they do not take anything lightly.

She "accidentally" ticked yes instead of no. Yeah right, she probably did it for a laugh and it backfired on her.
