I have been asking
@Pret for a couple of years to add ingredient stickers to the packaged food. I know others have too after mistakes were made. If they wanted meaningful change why did they not do something after the death? Why wait for the court case? And now? What and when? - 1 more reply

What about the 6 other people who had sesame allergy reaction to the same baguette before this girls death? Why didn’t Pret make meaningful change after all these allergy cases.

Bigger question why are kids so allergic to everything? I never heard of these allergies in the 60s . What’s happening to our DNA

This isn’t the only adverse reaction suffered from Pret’s food. Does it have to take a death to prompt action? It would seem so.

If food is dangerous to you then take care of yourself and always carry something from home - blaming others is tiresome - grieving family can do it without demanding a public performance

Anyone with so many allergies should make their own food at home then they know what is in it

@Pret shocking comments from head of compliance Perkins at the inquest: "remaining grounded" in yr job includes ensuring customers dont end up in A&E/dead after eating yr products. You chose to save costs via legal loopholes meant for tiny cornershops!#allergylabellingNOWThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

I think in this tragic case, the seed was in the baguette. These are probably bought in frozen and baked in store. If this is the case then no amount of labeling would have helped as the seeds were not added to make the sandwich. Sticker to say may contain seeds from factory?

This is a tragic story and may her soul rest in peace. Amidst all the potential fallout, we should be mindful that labelling cannot solve everything. Soon, we'll complain about too much labelling? People with extreme allergies cannot rely on mass-produced food. Make your own?

I'm totally confused why meaningful change hasn't already taken place? If Pret want us to believe that statement they need to answer why.
