How much was David Beckham's lawyer, Nick Freeman, paid to get him off a driving offence via a legal loophole? The speeding notice arrived a day late. #r4today pic.twitter.com/RmUj6lgEt9

BREAKING: Suspicions grow that there may be one law for the rich and powerful, and another for the rest of us. More on that when we have it. Meanwhile, here's an update on the news that George Osborne's best man made £36m from the privatisation of Royal Mail... #Suckers

There's no point having a go at the lawyer for doing his job. All criticism should go to the multimillionaire Beckham for avoiding a paltry £60 and 3 points on his license. Shame on him.

Most of us would do the same if we knew we could. So many people on here say I would just pay it. That’s a lie.

A lot of people representing charities, government, in the film or sports industries have done things far worse than not pay a speeding fine. People need to calm down a bit.

I just don’t care personally, got better things to worry about than someone getting off a speeding ticket. Whoever they are. People should have better role models than footballers and movie stars.

And David Beckham is angry he hasn’t been given a knighthood? Sounds to me like the people who rejected his knighthood were pretty sound judges of character.
