Whether you agree or not it's not actually a loophole it's the law. I think its 14 days. Someone I know from a previous job got away for the same thing however it wasn't taken to court and out in the papers because he wasn't David Beckham

Bull shit,He didn't bend anything, Failure by prosecution to deliver statutory notice within the time prescribed by statute finished the prosecutions case, elementary mistake by prosecutors. Defence available to anyone not just Beckham.
