Sometimes leaving it too late is deadly. It needs more awareness.

Certainly does. My sister still fighting to get help and diagnosis for her son. She's been blamed several times for being a single mother. It's ridiculous
-
That’s horrible. Hopefully she will get the diagnosis very soon
. -
Hopefully but somehow I won't be holding my breath. 7yrs is a hell of a long time to fight for help xx

There's more to this. In 2017, according to a source £250m allocated to the NHS to employ child mental health psychologists went unspent because there are not enough professionals. The £250m was returned. The money is there; The professionals aren't.

Even with tests there's always the likely hood of simple getting signs of a condition but never formally diagnosed, its bleak but very true.. Worse yet if there are still problems you have to go through the stress of waiting lists and tests all over again!

Huge crisis, under funded, under staffed, under trained and we need desperately to look at early intervention with families from the onset with funds to reopen resource centers available for families, across the UK.

Change that to 'everybody with mental health problems not receiving treatment until they are in crisis and suicidal'
-
Yep. I’m 21, and had I not gone private, would have been waiting another 3 years for my diagnosis. Adults matter too - and it shouldn’t be a decision between adult or child either.

Mental health is definitely important and people in the past would have benefited from it. People with severe mental issues used to be labelled as crazy or possessed, and sometimes hidden from other other people. You can still see it today in places where it's still taboo.

When Labour win the next election, the first job should be to overhaul the biased BBC News department, currently run BY the Establishment FOR the Establishment. 2/2
#JC4PM#ForTheMany -
LOL and how do you believe JC will ever win a election ? He is unelectable
-
Shame, but ironic that you have a picture of Ben Parkinson who is very much wanting a Jeremy Corbyn government, so we don't send our troops into wars unnecessarily on a lie. I'm a vice chair in Donny. We love Ben.https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/news/video-our-ben-becomes-freeman-of-doncaster-1-8702773 …
-
I have a Photo of Ben i took , to show people what servicemen give for their country . which is more than can be said for JC who would wave a white flag at invading troops after he cuts Defence spending
-
If the country/government had listened to Jeremy Corbyn Ben Parkinson would still be walking on two legs. Fact. Which troops are 'invading' btw? Are you paranoid?
-
I am Just pointing out JC has done nothing for people like ben , and if god forbid he is ever is elected will do even less , in fact he will make things worse . i left labour when he got into office the mans is a fool , labour needs young blood Not geriatrics
-
JC has campaigned for Disability Rights all his life - OPPOSED THE WELFARE BILL! - which is why he's leader, remember? I'm almost 50 and have convinced hundreds to join the party, and of
@jeremycorbyn's worthiness to run the country. Maybe you could use his NES to learn Grammar? -
MM why you shouting ? , all parties have said they oppose the welfare bill , but as usual Promise the world to get a vote and nowt changes , Unfortunately as he supported CND while people of my age protected the UK he will never get a vote from any Veteran !
