Technically thats a compromise, we compromise our freedom, sovereignty, economic growth and our values and they get to keep out money

By compromise
@eucopresident means@theresa_may agrees to surrender fully to the eu, if only May had a spine & tell this nasty, corrupt organisation to bugger off as the instruction given by +17.4m#Brits!! -
I second that!

They both seem uncompromising, but the EU attitude has always had a feeling to punish the UK for leaving, and France President Emmanuel Macron is a big drive for that.

The attitude from the EU is repulsive, they want to punish the UK for leaving. People wonder why the UK decided to leave!!
-
No, the EU has 4 indivisible freedoms+has made this clear from the start. UK wants 1, but not the others. Myself+most Europeans knew this wudnt fly from the start, so why is it so hard to understand this? + why blame EU when we're just followin our own rules(that u helpd create)?
-
They aren't coming up with a reasonable deal, they wanted a border down the Irish Sea.......how did they think this was possible and just? They are making it difficult for the uk to leave so other nations don't try it. It's the biggest con going.
-
Why is it up to us to come up with a deal? The border in N. Ireland was an afterthought in Brexit world + should have been properly discussed before Brexit was even a possibility. The alternative to a border in the sea is a land border and that would be a disaster for N. Ireland.
-
A border either in the Sea and on the land would be a disaster for NI and let's not kid ourselves here.....it would also be for Ireland as well. The reason why the EU would be coming up with something is because a no deal is a disaster for them as well as the UK.
-
So if a border either way would be a disaster then why was this not even mentioned pre-referendum? Northern Ireland is just an after thought in England's/Westminsters mind. For all the differences between the Republic/North, at least we are aware of each other!

£38bn reasons why they want a compromise. Has the EC published their accounts yet?
-
The EU have to play the tough guy to keep the countries in check whilst at the same time cupping its hand for alms.

Of course it is, they know they have big problems if we leave under WTO rules; no £35million, £10 billion pound loss p.a. to UK on tariffs (trade gap), cheaper goods for UK in rest of world. We have strong hand, we must play it.

@eucopresident Both sides need to compromise. But neither will. EU representatives are wanting it all their way to ensure no other country will follow UK. Unrest in other countries already exists. Hard liner's instills greater strength those who want change. Time to walk away. -
Why would they risk the common market just because the UK wants it's cake? The UK got a good deal but can't let go of its past atrocities

Funny that this Polish ex prime minister whose country has had £ billions from the EU coffers softens his approach after a possible no deal and no £39 billion from the UK to fund this fat cat protectionist undemocratic club.
