No, the case has been closed because the police have failed to find the (obviously human) perpetrator.

How is it obvious? You've seen evidence that the police haven't?

This is Tank a wild fox .I have 2 cats and a dog. She has never once attempted to attack my cats. Neither has Tank’s mate Blue. They sit in the garden together and rat. I don’t believe a word of it. Yet again foxes getting bad press. If it was the case it’s naturepic.twitter.com/KwFmOSwonS

I don't believe a single word. This is lazy policing. Are foxes on spice? August 2016 - The mutilated remains of a cat were found in Otford. In Bracknell a cat was found which was cut in half. Can we please ban the sales of knives to foxes? Which MP so I write to? Smh

Well that makes it easy doesn't it! Pity they didn't consider foxes for other offences, The Birmingham 6 - foxes. Jack the Ripper - Foxy McFox Face. The Clydach Murders - Nah, we all know who did those, don't we?

I genuinely do not believe this. The thought that comes to mind is the met found out it was one of their own and this is now a cover up.

So all subsequent police actions are a cover up. Ah right, got it.

It foxes kill cats in this way, wouldn't there be many similar incidents across the UK? Or are foxes down south different.

Not really different, just the odd one learns unusual behaviour. For instance, there's a fox in my street that sometimes knocks over my milk bottle to drink the contents.

Absolute rubbish AND you know it. Foxes don't CUT paws off & leave animals in the front garden. Plod haven't got the money to investigate so tell lies.
