Are you going to point out that Chequers has since been disavowed by a number of then Cabinet members? And faces widespread opposition amongst Tory MPs? Or would that be too much like journalism?

You see, the piece you have tweeted out is not now true. "The cabinet has reached an agreement on the UK's future relationship with the EU" is now a false statement. Why is the BBC tweeting fake news?
-
Could it be that we have a Brexit extremist who holds an editorial position? It seems that they cannot report accurately on the detail at all. The British people do not wish to be infantilised by this ridiculous inaccurate reporting. We’d like the truth!

Theresa May must be ousted. This is NOT brexit. We must leave the EU with No deal. Surely its now clear to ALL how the EU is a blackmailing bullying organisation. Who on earth wld want to be a member of that. See the unemployment & mess in EU why,shd we fund it?
#ChequersPlan -
Do you mean they "bully" nations into obeying the rules that they each signed up to? The only bullying and blackmailing I can see is from the U.K. trying to literally "have their cake and eat it" Please explain what I've missed?
-
Thanks for saying this. All I can see is UK ministers threatening & posturing over not keeping all trade benefits of club whilst leaving but not contribute anything 4 those. If UK wants to leave leave! EU doesn't need to engage with you over this time wasting costly exercise
-
Exactly! the whole premis of brexit was based on "cakeism" - bullying fellow EU28 member into giving the U.K. more. The liars and charlatans in Westminster have been found wanting yet the media and idiots on Twitter blame the EU just for saying no, youve got a great deal already!

For a more in depth analysis from an independent team of top lawyers take the time to read this. It gets past Mays spin & downright deceit. It shows clearly this is not Brexit in any way. http://lawyersforbritain.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/Chequers-Briefing-Memo.pdf …

The Chequers plan is not a deal, it is May's own "bright idea", committed to paper, that she tried (and failed) to get her Cabinet colleagues to agree to. May clearly doesn't know how to negotiate internationally (or at home) - why should she, she has had no prior experience!!!

You, surely, know that the chequers plan is rejected, flawed, unworkable & the reason cabinet members resigned? What was the thought process behind this tweet / this story? Honestly, journalism at its worst! For shame!

Such poor-quality journalism - a new low for the BBC. You don’t even realise it doesn’t have the status of a “deal” ... it’s a proposal. And the last thing the Cabinet has done with it is agree it!
