Alton Towers have already been fined £5million, where did that go?

If you got an answer for that please let me know. My guess is that it went to some government dept pension pot.

I would want more than 2mil for losing a leg. The impact on their lives is huge!

I think I'd take £2m for a leg. Not for the trauma they went through though....

With the revenue Merlin make its a drop in the ocean. The lost job opportunities & life experiences from not being able to work walk again, plus requiring housing & travel aids throughout the span of their lives. 2mil doesn’t equate to me as adequate compensation.

It's unlikely either of them would have EARNED £2m, so for that they are being adequately compensated. However, for the loss of the leg.... that's far more difficult to put a price on.

Exactly! we aren't just talking about what they could have earned, its about the life they need to lead now, the disadvantages in life & lost opportunities, the stress & agony of the incident at the time & afterwards. Just seems a low amount of money for such a tragic incident :(

£2million. Blimey that’s nothing compared to the impact on their lives and mental scars. £20 mil each is what they deserve...and if this was America it would be 200million!!!

Seems pretty low given the life changing injuries. The park will have public liability insurance, so they should get what they are awarded, thankfully.

No idea, but totally different. They know very bad things can happen in war. So I’m guessing it’s all part and parcel of it. Personally I think they should be retired on a massive salary for defending the country. These girls went on a roller coaster.
