Is anyone surprised that the government doesn’t like a decentralised currency and wants to regulate it to bring it under their control

No it shouldn't. The BBC shareholders and bosses aren't getting a cut of that money. Neither is the government who run the BBC, nor that banks. State funded propaganda machine that is the BBC.

The Js couldn't stand there being a financial market that they didn't have their grubby claws all over.

couldn t agree more, all other money is regulated, it’s unfair that the people of Bitcoin (wherever that is) get off scot free!

If there was a way of weeding out unsavoury characters who's only aim is to rip off other people could be stopped then I would say no. However I don't even trust banks with my money so at the moment there's no way I would trade in crypto currency.

because? Crypto currencies are out of the control of the bankers/politicians who nearly destroyed the country and are the excuse used by the
#Tories for the austerity disaster - fully supported by the@BBC as applied to other, poorer people.#TransparentThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Is the Bitcoin even real. I'm not sure you can go out and actually buy anything with it or nip into the local bank and change it for some real money.
-
Some places accept it and it's becoming more and more accepted around the world, you keep them online like online banking and then you can wait to see if they go up in value and then sell them for real world currencies. Some places in America accept bitcoin for Lamborghini's

Where we are going you don't need banks

-
Prison . . .

-
Why prison? Nothing remotely illegal about it, provided you file the capital gains taxes or equivalents or don't use it to buy guns or traffic children.
-
You dont need banks in Prison . . . . or file your tax returns
-
I don't want to be bummed either

I truly think that Bitcoin and other coin like it should be ban.
-
Lol why if someone wants to get into it, it will be their fault if they lose money on it.
