If Brexit is stopped, then no one will ever trust a vote again. If Brexit is stopped, democracy will be finished the in the UK.

If #Brexit is stopped by the electorate in a #PeoplesVote, then it will be an example of democracy in action, with the Tory elite stopped in their tracks by ordinary people. I only hope they all lose their shirts on it too

We have already had a people’s vote what we the vote in 2016 then if that wasn’t a people’s vote

There was a vote in 2016, with an inappropriate electorate, that was lied to outrageously in order to secure the vote. If the electorate, knowing what they know now, do not want to leave the EU, the democratic action would be to Remain in the EU.

        1) UK citizens who had been out of the UK for more than 15yrs were denied a vote (despite the govt's promise); commonwealth citizens resident in the UK were given a vote; EU citizens in the UK were denied a vote.

Why would we give EU citizens a vote on a British matter for the British people

Well you might ask that same question about Australian or Canadian or Nigerian citizens, but they fit a vote. Which is why I called it an "odd" electorate.

They supposedly are neutral but clearly will side with the ‘side’ with 26 other member states, not just us. Last thing the IMF wants are countries performing negatively in terms of their economies as that will result in poor global financial performance, less ££ for aid etc

Eventually can see a deal being done on a Canada + type arrangement. Not the brexit the hardcores want but thankfully less damaging to the economy

Key phrase here is ‘less damaging’. The EU ain’t perfect, but had we remained a member, there would be no ‘damaging’ economic impacts and we would remain as the world global financial centre

Can't do any deals, it's in the A50, 3rd paragraph. We must leave with NO deals remaining. Since we can't leave without breaking the Good Friday agreement it's a straight choice of either: A U.K. or leaving the EU! - can't have both.pic.twitter.com/M7s17WKOzb

Lord Alan Sugar says #Brexit is 'going to be a complete and utter mess' and has called for those who promised £350 million a week for the NHS to be prosecuted. Perhaps, but even more urgent is to make sure that there is a #PeoplesVote on any final deal.pic.twitter.com/ORiH1tip8M
