“What your investigation has found is really alarming”. Labour’s @NazFhahBfd condemns as “unethical” early baby gender tests used by thousands of British women amid fears they’re leading to the abortion of girls in South Asian communities. #VictoriaLIVE pic.twitter.com/9BznzWmzzE

Good! Any loving parent would not care about the gender.

You mean sex. A foetus can't have a gender.

No you complete pillock, gender is a medical term.

Gender was originally a grammatical term, nothing medical about it.

Except for the fact that it is used in the medical world instead of sex most of the time.

Black's Medical Dictionary (s.v. 'Gender Identity Disorders') correctly recognises the difference between gender and sex

Outside of a specialist field of psychiatry, it is normal to use the term gender in the medical field (including abortion). My point stands.

Why should our liberties be influenced by barbarous practices of a small section of the community. This is the tail wagging the dog ! Anyone, including doctors who assist in abortions based on gender preferences, should be prosecuted.

Labour are happy with abortions as long as they are gender neutral.

Maybe because it’s quite alarming the numbers of south Asians use the test and abortion clinics as some sort of post contraception, preferring sons to daughters. However the test would be denied to all irrespective of race

No issues with that ! It it not a regressive step though? One letter no’s this with countries like India Pakistan and Bangladesh where the tests are banned

There is a fear in the UK to tackle issues like this because of “cultural sensitivities “, it’s ridiculous really.

If gender is a social construct how do you test for it in utero? You can test for sex, is that what you mean?

Another stupid labour proposal, it isn't British Christians who leave female babies at the side of the road to die because the parents want sons it's other nationals and religious freaks. The simple answer is don't allow these morons the test.
