Rather than tackle those who abuse it they include everyone . I would remind people that sometimes early gender tests are needed for medical / genetic reasons ...and where parents want choice of early abortion . To preclude them from that choice would be shameful

        1) An early gender test should not impact the parents choice to abort, unless it's specifically because of gender. 2) "Everyone" are the people who can afford to pay for private healthcare.

How can gender be determined even before a child is born, the sex is boy but they want to be a girl, really?!

Biological sex is determined by their DNA chromosomes, it's GCSE science.

This does NOT MEAN they're banning baby gender tests entirely. Just early ones. They'll do ones later so that you don't have the option to abort a child based on its gender.

This sounds really edgy but okay. YOUR FAMILY MEMBER GETS RAPED, THEY HAVE A FOETUS INSIDE THEM DUE TO SOMETHING THEY DID NOT CONSENT TO, 1) is it the victim's fault? NO. it is not their fault that they are forced to carry a child.

It means that it eliminates the chance of someone deciding to abort a child based on only its gender, which is cruel. They're making sure that the reason for the abortion is reasonable.

        1. It doesn't, it'll just lead to later abortions. 2. Why is it "cruel"? An abortion is an abortion. 3. You don't need to have a "reasonable" reason for an abortion. The "rules" are a joke. Any woman within the term limits who says she wants an abortion gets one on the NHS.

An abortion is an abortion, but deciding "Oh that baby's a girl i wanna abort it because it's a girl" is different from an abortion based on a medical conddition, illness, rape, or form of sexual assault.

Abortion is effectively on demand in the UK. You don't need to have any of those things.

FYI I'm not anti-abortion. But killing a child from the circumstances of planned, consensual sex where the foetus is healthy, and deciding to abort because of the gender of that foetus, is inhumane.

I know you aren't. Why is it inhumane? The effect on the foetus is identical to any other abortion. Where is the extra suffering? Who are you to say whether the circumstances of conception are relevant? The mother either has the right or she doesn't.

When I first saw this I thought surely not, British women having selective abortion of girls - I don't believe it. Then I realised of course that it isn't only British women that are living in the UK these days. Why must we import strange ideas & customs from backwards countries
