Why should we pay for their lavish lifestyle?

I don't mind paying under a pound a year for the m, plus they bring a lot of money in to the UK!!!

Ok further perspective..the money the Royals receive could employ 14000 police officers or 15000 new teachers.

Retirement? hardly a job was it going around waving and talking bollocks. Sooner we do away with the monarchy the better.

Tourism, charity work, DoE awards and far more as well.

People do all that in their spare time, as well as a job, but don't get classed as retiring from it.

One, he's 96, two he's patron of 800 charities, 3 DoE helps loads of kids, four he's sponsored confs about humans in industry

your point is? things you class as a job for him would be what many of us do outside of work and unlike us subjects he is very well rewarded

Unemployed and suffering from severe depression due to that so not a lot
