This isn't breaking news. May the child rest in peace. He should have been taken off the ventilator 9 months ago, or never put on it.

Not now, ffs.

If you can't mind the emotions of those directly involved you should refrain from broadcasting your opinion. Easy when it's not your child

Rest in peace Charlie, in your short life you touched all our hearts. Sorry it ended this way, but you are at rest in the arms of God now.
-
And to your parents, your love and passion for your son, though he may not have known it, are a testament to the passion of the human spirit
-
I hope you all find some peace now.

I'm asking sincerely, because I want to understand- why wouldn't GOSH allow his parents to try the treatment mentioned in the post?..
-
The "treatment" was publicity for the medical industry that was never gonna work.
-
Sadly, none of us will ever know if the treatment would have worked or not. Without trying it's only unsubstantiated.
-
It wouldn't have worked. That kind of problem cannot be fixed it can, at best, slow the progression.
-
Maybe, but in all honesty we will never know. Doctors/scientists can never be 100% sure until they try.
-
We do know. What don't u get? If treatmentworked for 28 monthswhat quality of life???? What's beneficial for Charlie ? How's science helped
-
You're life must be bland. I have witnessed miracles... Against all odds, turnarounds, surprises, outliers. You're excusing a wrongful death
-
There is a limit to miracles. This doesn't mean a life is bland, it means we're intelligent enough to face reality

Death panelists must feel so proud. Good job letting him deteriorate while you waged court cases 4the right to kill him, Brits!
-
Not what happened. He was killed by an incurable condition. And don't pretend you don't have "death panels" in the US. No cash no cure.
