Charlie Gard's mother says Great Ormond Street Hospital "denied us our final wish" over baby's last dayshttp://bbc.in/2tGDqAj

When they deal with their grief, they owe the hospital a massive apology.
-
Spent last 2 mths arguing with the world. Should have spent that precious time with their son. GOSH acted impeccably in face of adversity
-
The hospital, as always through the whole case, had the best interests/welfare/care of the baby as their no 1 priority.

I am so glad one of our American Drs came and saw him. British system waited too long by giving NO SUPPORT. If treated earlier, maybe better
-
The British Doctors asked 'your' American Doctor to come see Charlie repeated since January but he didn't. Didn't even read medical reports.
-
The American doctor also had financial investment in the drug company offered. I doubt he was interested in the well being if Charlie
-
His assessment not based on the best interests of the child, failing to consider quality of life after treatment. You know nothing.

Dear God, thank you that I was born in the USA. -Amen
-
If Charlie had been born in the USA - unless his parents has very good health insurance - he would have died months ago.
-
Isn't it sadder that when parents raised all money to save child but denied right by courts/judge/hospital?
-
sadly he was never going to be 'saved'. because of his condition.I believe the family are going to set up a foundation in his name.
-
Maybe or maybe not he can't b saved But parents raised money at least let them try drug has no side effects reported by 18 patients treated
-
Scans showed he would not benefit.
-
July scan showed no hope but Jan scan was good
-
My initial comment was on treatment in the USA - I'm not debating the case.

Hospice will compassionately care for this beautiful child, and his family. I know. I work in hospice.
