what a hellish position to be in for them

-
Not really they have had 6 months fo stalling, messing Doctors about about time they accepted reality.
-
I hope you will whenever you find yourself in the same situation. You will learn the hard way
-
His parents have learned the hard way, medical experts are such for a good reason.
-
It's not there business nor the govt to decide if they want to seek treatment elsewhere especially since they raised ample funds for it
-
My line of thought too . Government or organization playing god will always be wrong
-
Everyone govt or experts dip their fingers into a families business things go wrong experts came up with eugenics too

Why couldn't they ensure the proper care was provided at home. Charlie should be able to spend his final days at home with his family.
-
They live in a flat. He could of suffered a terrible death on the stairs if his tubes had been knocked!
-
It's incredibly complex in these cases, a whole team of doctors and nurses are needed on hand. It's not a case of 'flicking a switch off'...
-
Mmm how lovely to see someone talking sense xx
-
Too many are critical without understanding the facts of this sad case
-
I agree especially the parents

Did the Judge say whether the parents would be permitted to cry or be entitled to common levels of human decency?

Yep I thought so. You're an American who has done zero research. You think his parents can just unhook him and carry him home I suppose.
-
Hey now, I'm an American as well and I fully support keeping Charlie at the hospital. Anything else is cruel and illogical.

Let him go home !!! We know the outcome - just give them their final memories ! Stop the bureaucracy ! X
-
That just isn't how this works
-
Sorry but it should !!!!
-
He's likely die before he got home, the hospital is keeping him alive at the moment
-
I know and the family know that - but they want him in their care when he passes !!!
-
They want a few days with him before he is allowed to pass away...the care at home not available..that's why he can't go home
-
The U.K. doesn't have Hospice? He'd be able to die peacefully at home here in the US.
-
We do but that's not what they are asking. They want him at home
