"We only wanted to give him a chance of life" - Charlie Gard's mother Connie Yates tells High Courthttp://bbc.in/2uZJeZP

This is what a single-payer system can look like. Parents denied right to move Charlie to private hospital for 2nd opinion. Big Brother!
-
What a load of tosh.... without our NHS they may not have been able to afford to pay. Ridiculous comment...typical of US
-
Not all US people agree with that I am one all for the NHS...

I know there are some of you :-)

They just made an extremely difficult decision that no parent should have to make. My thoughts go out to them and that poor little boy.
-
I can't imagine what they're going through. I wish them peace and condolences.

As a parent, I get it. Right or wrong, they looked for hope. Who wouldn't.
-
I came here to say this very thing. Perfectly said.

It's
but no amount of treatment would have given him a decent life (OR cured him). God bless you little #CharlieGard .

-
They are going to sue GOSH aren't they?
-
I think it would be a silly move if they did. Regardless of the outcome, GOSH have kept him alive all this time
-
I agree with you 100% but their behaviour in court makes me think they will try. Hopefully they will be advised not to.
-
I'm a little disappointed at their behaviour in court tbh. I understand they were hurting, but some of it was shocking.
-
They seemed to be blinded and in complete denial, angry with the world and took it out in court and on GOSH. It was very shocking at times.
-
Appalling might be more accurate. These are the people who've looked after your son all these months. Without them he'd have died long ago
-
you DON'T act like that.

And here come all the people saying the Doctors/courts are murderers etc, when really they have no idea how forlorn any further treatment is
-
Its a sad case but the poor child has suffered enough. Deserves to go peacefully.
-
At home. They should let them take him home.
-
But without the life support he may not even survive the journey home

-
They can provide life support to get him home.
-
Don't be so ridiculous
-
It's not ridiculous. They have more bey to pay. It's not taxpayer money.
