Crikey, I already dribble all over my desk now, and I'm only just 50. Heaven knows what I'll be like at 68, wait 69, nope now it's 70, 71...

Its a shambles. A knackered deflated and old workforce, in place whilst young un's can't get work.

Exactly what I have been saying for years. Very few part time jobs for young people for many years now, taken by older people.

Easier than working in freezing cold rain or snow not good for anyone

I highly suspect this is down to our ever-increasing aging population (the baby boomers are at retirement age now), & lack of tax payers.

Thats a factor but govt actuaries already had that in the calcs. Change in date must be due to events since the demographics is easy.

Civil service does the modelling diligently. Treasury clearly play politics but changes to pension age dont play well& are avoided if poss
