Hey Amber. Many NHS nodes are Windows 95 (unpatchable) due to IT system funding being pulled by the government. So it's kinda your bag.

Her government pulled the funding from a programme to upgrade NHS IT systems! What a bloody cheek she has!!
-
Why throw Rudd to the media? Why is Hunt being let off the hook? NHS risks lie fairly & squarely at his door.
-
Plus, patching and management of obsolete/EoL operating systems should be day-to-day maintenance, not a special "upgrade".
-
I made this exact point yesterday, I couldn't understand why sys admins weren't doing this
-
Users culpable to some extent as well. Security is everyone's responsibility; people aren't asking, "I'm still XP, how do I get off it?"
-
They haven't got the resources to upgrade - the plug was pulled on the upgrade programme by Hunt
-
My original point: it shouldn't be an "upgrade programme"; patching and OS end-of-life should be day-to-day operation.

If people are constantly flagging up a major infosec risk, and upstairs ignores it, it's upstairs' nuts on the anvil.

The blame lays at the governments door as the NHS need new machines, new operating systems and new servers. Which requires money!

yup, had we not ended Microsoft contract for support in 2015, this might be a different matter. Now a £5 mil a year becomes a LOT more.

Never mind eh Amber Rudd is here to pass the buck and Jeremy Hunt is still a...
And we the tax payer pick up the tab. -
Absolutely nothing about Tory cuts in the article. What a disgrace the BBC is

Former HSBC Bankers and Other Tory Stooges in charge will do that.

Amber Rudd, come and try and be an IT Technician in an NHS trust. You'll soon fucking realise how difficult it is without any funding.
