          Probably not a targeted attack. These things are always doing the rounds. I bet NHS England users have r/w shared folders on common servers.

          Then the question is does the ranware effect the servers AND PC or are the servers safe. Hopefully they don't run windows server on those.

          It usually just spreads through all of the drives available to the local machine, and this would include writable shared folders on servers.

          If the folders are accessible and writable from the PC, then it doesn't matter if the servers are Windows, Mac, Linux or just NAS drives.
