If they're doing this, then it should be illegal to increase prices during peak times.

Given that holidays are priced on a supply and demand system, it would be impossible to make it illegal.
-
Probably cheaper taking em out of term time & paying the fine.
-
It is much cheaper to pay the fine. This has become nothing more than another way to tax parents. The money doesn't even go to the schools!!
-
maybe the child's education is more important than a holiday :p
-
What's more educational for a child than travel & the experience it gives them?
-
going to some hotel complex in spain isnt educational
-
How would parents react if teachers decided to take their holidays in term time?

Don't understand why we don't focus on the reasons WHY parents take children out of school-holiday companies make hols difficult to afford
-
I can't afford a Rolls Royce. I accept I can't have one. I don't demand they make them cheaper.
-
Rolls Royce don't inflate their prices during a period when most people would want one......
-
And even if they did, it would be tough luck.
-
But a person would have the option of buying a cheaper car they could afford, wouldn't just go without.
