bad driving

Combination of both + excessive speed I'll guess.
-
excessive speed for the conditions (or driver's ability) is bad driving
-
Agreed. But driving 25 in a 40 because they're on a phone is also bad driving.

if people used fog lights and drove at the correct speed for the conditions this could probably of been avoided.
-
I find it amazing how people still don't know how to use fog lights :-( so sad when people are lost
-
they do they use them in normal conditions and blind you

Surprise surprise.

Nasty. Too fast, too close, in poor visibility and icy conditions. It keeps happening. I HATE tailgaters.

people driving too fast to be able to stop within the distance they can see to be clear. Suicidal behaviour.
-
Spot on.
-
I remember a slogan in the 70s "fast in fog is fatal" I always think of that in when I see these stories

fog doesn't worry me, other drivers whizzing by does. assume something will emerge suddenly and be able to stop. You're welcome
