@BBCBreaking@BBCNews getting bail while facing sentencing for murder is ludicrous. Remand him back to custody is the sensible option. -
@JamesD_7 It's based on his likelihood to flee and/or reoffend. Both considered highly unlikely. -
@SirMustard whilst unlikely, he has the means to flee if desired. But SA must be one of the only countries to allow bail on a murder charge. - 1 more reply

@Tafono1 Yes, with some allowances. Basically, not in prison.

@BBCBreaking # This is not fair with victim party, accused should complete sentence behind the bar! -
@mza068@BBCBreaking He hasn't been given the sentence yet. Read the headline again. - End of conversation

@BBCBreaking@BBCSport@BBCNews Why does he get bail? I don't understand. He's been charged with murder, just lock him up. -
@linda_gorry Convicted of murder in fact. -
@SirMustard Yes, that's what I meant....so why does he get bail? -
@linda_gorry Because his sentence is currently house arrest, and the decision has yet to be made if he will be sent to prison instead. -
@linda_gorry He probably will of course.
