“@BBCBreaking: #SpaceX "experienced anomaly on ascent", firm says http://bbc.in/1JrEixQ Next time try a week-day. #Sabbath
Ah, the euphemisms of space flight: RT @BBCBreaking: #SpaceX "experienced anomaly on ascent", firm says http://bbc.in/1JrEixQ
.@BBCBreaking That's a correction, not a clarification. Also, it's "NASA," not "Nasa."
Ugh. News outlets.
@persephone488 Its name is NASA on all its own press. Lower-case abbreviation fine for common terms, not when owner spells own name as caps.
@persephone488 And therein lies my grumpiness. That prior error makes the "misspelling" look like another error, not house style. *grumble*
@BBCBreaking So much money up in smoke and so much work to be started again.
@BBCBreaking an anomaly... blowing up is a pretty large anomaly. Glad there no one onboard.
@ABMadAnne @BBCBreaking Oh I know.... SpaceX.... but the anomoly description is erm, how should we say... polite for "it blew up"
@BBCBreaking @BBCNews And who is the rocket owner?
@BBCBreaking Wait for the confirmation of ISIS.
@BBCBreaking @BBCNews It failed period!!
@BBCBreaking. More supervision please.
“.@BBCBreaking: #SpaceX "experienced anomaly on ascent"http://bbc.in/1JrEixQ (Clarification: Nasa oversaw launch but does not own rocket)”
@BBCBreaking If I was a passenger on said rocket, "anomaly" is not the word I would use to describe the experience.
