Today’s African #proverb: One knee doesn't bring up a child. A Swahili proverb sent by Samuel Adjetey Cleland, Accra, Ghana. How do you interpret this proverb? http://bbc.in/2FVqsst

I guess the meaning is,one person can't train his child http://alone.It 'll require the whole community to do that.

I think cos u would have to bend ur knee before u hand picks the child and bending one knee u can't conveniently bend down to pick the child.

Raising up a child involves the whole community. It is not entirely responsibility of the parent/s. My interpretation of today`s #proverb
