I guess having stretch marks makes one incompetent or a liability.

We argued about this in the newsroom last week. I understand the bleached skin rule, which actually applies to men as well. But the rule about stretch marks is BS

Yeah like what the heck?? Ppl get stretch marks from other issues. And the dreadlocks thing 🤦🏿‍♀️. When will ppl understand that your hairstyle isn't indicative of how you can perform at a job? 🙄

There’s no winning with the hair thing. Only Rastafarians, weed smokers and “mad” people have locs in Ghana apparently. I’m fighting a constant battle with people’s perceptions of even my hair.

Someone actually asked me if I was Rastafarian. My own family refers to me as “Rasta girl” and my dad is pissed because I refuse to get a haircut. Girl, it’s so frustrating!

Wooooow. My heads hurts. It's beyond ridiculous that we are still confused/disapproving/rude about ppl just growing the hair that comes out of their scalp... Like seriously??? Ppl really need to ask themselves why they are so bothered & examine why they think other hair is better

They really do. It is exhausting having to justify my choices every day but I want my sister to see that natural hair is worth having.

This is why Africa is not moving forward. Leaders concentrate their time and energy of useless issues. What about jobs and wealth creation, fighting corruption, improving health and education services .........

you cant discredit someone because of stretch marks, its highly absurd, the government should have more pressing issues to discuss like the general well being of the citizens rather than being paid to discuss the skin colour of citizens who are wallowing in poverty futi nxaaa

Not getting a job because of strech marks, men get strech marks too! Are they automatically disqualified too. This is a joke surely. I can understand the bleaching because, there maybe concern for mental well being but not a reason not to employ someone. Haven't read report.

Stretch marks are not exclusive to women. They should just make it clear they don’t want to hire women. Lame excuse
