Togo was the only African state to vote against a UN General Assembly resolution effectively calling on the Trump administration to withdraw its recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. http://bbc.in/2CVisSj pic.twitter.com/zmihL8foTu

Same could be said for Palestine. No one said Israel was innocent, but as history clearly states Jerusalem belongs to #Israel 🇮🇱

History confirms that Israel captured West Jerusalem in the Arab-Israel war of 1948 then proceeded to occupy the Eastern part after the popular 6 day war of 1967. We cannot change history, that is why the whole world rejects Israeli occupation except Trump's US and 8 allies.

If the US should withdraw the aid they give to Nigeria Cos my president is blinded by religion, most Nigerians will suffer and he will fly abroad for his Medicare.

Nigeria is not an aid recipient country, so all the 128 countries that voted in support of the U.N. resolution were blinded by religion?

Please, get your facts right. Save for the aid Nigeria gets directly from the US, the UN funds major humanitarian responses in the North East. If US pulls funding from the UN, it will take time for UN to get itself back up. I know what I am saying. Nigeria could have abstained

Humanitarian assistance through U.N. to the North- East does not make Nigeria an aid recipient country. Her long standing policy on the Israeli-Palestinian should not be changed for pot of porridge.

...and what's our long standing on the Israel-Palestine issue?? Join other OIC countries to pronounce East Jerusalem as Palestine capital in reaction to a similar but opposite pronouncement by another country? Common, what's pot of porridge? OUR INTEREST first please!!!

Togo voted against so its rulers can get Trumps support in quelling the discontent at home. Nothing to do with conviction.

Africans are no longer cowed by threats of a reduction in aid or sanctions. The world's superpower doesn't threaten states for refusing to support its moves. The superpower wins them over. Clearly, Trump's US has lost the cherry on her cake.
