We should be encouraging safe and legal migration instead of engaging in shock therapy. The shocking images should spur global action to END SLAVERY and human trafficking. Everyone has the right to move. No one on the move should be victimized for that right.

I don’t want to question the conscience of
@BBCAfrica but the”question”is unfortunate. As if warning the would be migrant: stay where you are, or you may face this! It ignores the cause/s that forced them of leaving their homes in the first place -

No, it won't. I have heard stories of people willing to be slaves in Europe just to get out of Africa. Those nightmare stories of victims don't scare them. They are willing to take the risk.

Was the conditions they are in in their mother countries worse than one they find themselves in
#slavetrade now? Humans can mean to complicate things and now we are blaming AU and other bodies for allowing it to happen as if the advocated for it.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Very shame to hear Africans are sold as commodities while we have AU. What is the function of AU and its impacts to the Africans. It is there like a picture.

It took you so long to report about this, it’s been going on for years to Eritrean, Ethiopian and Somalian, just so you know it’s not only happening in Libya, it’s in Egypt too and most of Arab countries

Unfortunately no. Citizens have gotten to the point that they would rather risk finding out what is out there than staying home to apply themselves at home. Most things work against the common person. Human dignity!

Hmm. I wish I could say "Yes it will" But as it is, Africa is in a bad shape economically to the extent that most would rather be sold off than die of hunger.
