The corruption charges levied on
@bukolasaraki was gathered from hearsay and opinion of individuals without strong evidence of proof. -
His emergence as Senate Leader caused the uproar as some external influence within his party want their candidate to emerge which failed.

His case was a process of corruption when one will be alleged for corruption without and invitation to make a statement.

Following the case from the onset, he declared all his assets before he emerged as his state Governor in 2003, also in 2007 and 2011.

He was also elected as Senator in 2011 after serving for 8years as a Governor, he declared his asset during the time and won for re-election

On June 9, 2015 as Senator he contested for Senate Leader and won. 2-month after, he was slammed with Falsification of Assets Declaration.

Defending himself he made a statement at the Code of Conduct Tribunal that he isn't guilty of the charges.

The 4 prosecution witnesses that was brought to the Tribunal failed to defend the exhibits tendered during the defendant cross examination.
