What a failure for the society he lives in. If an academic with a full time lawyer position can't get living wages, why would anyone want to pursue higher education?

The cost of living here is lower than I assume where you are. $1000 is enough for one to cater for living expenses and support one child. Also our transport system is privatised.
-
Yet he has a second job to support himself? Are you saying he does it not because he has to but because he thinks it's fun? I'm open to educate myself on this, I'm just thinking eight hours is what is sustainable for most people in the long run.

He earns enough as a lawyer to live a descent life. He has a side hustle that increases his income so he can do what he wants...a combined income of $ 2,500 is very very descent. Some people earning that will not let us have peace.

What 150k profit? I find it hard to believe moreover it’s not full time. Evenings and weekends only
-
I guess plus the 15mats he manages
lakini hata mimi nashuku this story
-
Anyway I doubt he’s a lawyer. Pengine a clerk. Most academics are prideful.
-
I personally know him. Grew up with him. He is a lawyer. He owns the matatu. He has a full time driver only fills in when he’s free
-
He is an entrepreneur not an employee.

Side hustle yes! But a Lawyer hustling as bus conductor is way too odd.

Misrepresentation of facts. He makes $1500 coz he owns the bus not just coz he drives it.
-
Which means he probably leases to other drivers who drive during the day and remit cash yea?

The thing is that you can make good money in Nigeria doing side hustles but Police will collect bribe, road union will collect money tickets they cannot account for. These are huge challenges
-
Side hustle doesn't mean only driving taxis
-
I was using the driving as a subject of discussion.
