Apologies, there's a typo in the spelling of Kaguvi's name in this video. Thanks for pointing this out!

So where is the part you mention that the British murdered Mbuya Nehanda? You said 'the British were winning'...winning at what??Colonising and killing our people? If your intentions were to in fact revere Mbuya Nehanda for the revolutionary that she was why throw in Mugabe?

I don't get the outrage. The story tells us about her struggle and I'm sure it's the first time many people are learning about it. Isn't that a good thing?

Nope, I can talk about mediocrity when I see it and especially when it comes to an institution like the BBC which has researchers whose roles include gathering accurate information, especially when it comes to history and important players in Zimbabwe's history!

        1. I'm Ghanaian. 2. I thirst after my continent's stories. this story accomplishes that and provides insight into political theory regarding Mugabe's use of #HerStory in his rhetoric. At this stage, us discerning folk are already aware of the atrocities of colonialism.

I question the claim of Mugabe using Nehanda in his rhetoric. Beyond Mugabe, Mbuya Nehanda became a rallying point for the liberation struggle among the broad populace. The use of her name and inspiration cannot and should not be confined to Mugabe's political career.
