@BBCAfrica Thank you for highlighting her story! I've just begun working on a project on another Jamaican National Hero - Miss Lou. Miss Lou seh, walk good. #walkgood #misslou #education #upliftment #equalrights

Another powerhouse of a woman! What kind of project is it?
-
A book documenting her life and legacy, to be released next September in celebration of what would have been her 100th birthday. I'm also working with her grandson on a clothing brand that will encompass what it means to "Walk Good".
-
What an amazing, ambitious project! Good luck with it all

-
Thank you so much.

@BBCAfrica -
Thank you! They really are great stories deserve to be told.
-
The truly do. Lots of stories, struggles and history of indigenous peoples that have been buried. Their emancipation amongst other things.

I grew up hearing the stories of Nanny and her brother Cudjo. We affectionately call the note with her picture on it - Nanny
-
Could you tell me about "Cudjo" please

She is not a Jamaican. She was a Ghanaian slave.
-
Divisive intervention. She is much of a Jamaican as a Ghanaian. We are one people... wake up
-
I wonder how many Jamaican would say same? I only made a factual comment.
