This issue has been written about over and over again and usually in the context of « why is it so hard » I hope someone would write about « why Africans make it hard for Africans to travel on the continent »

Considering we share a continent with Nigeria this matter is difficult as they flood countries burdening infrastructure, too many Nigerians running away from Nigeria instead of solving their problems

I think South Africa was adversely affected by apartheid to the point where the developed zenophobia. They think other Africans are their enemy. A very sad country. I will never visit a country I am not welcome. I hope Malema liberates them so we can visit.
-
It is truly a curious question as to why they are all flocking to a country where they are not welcome?

Nations of the world are today more interested in investors and tourists that would help build their economy than people that would be a burden on it.Xehophobic attacks on Africans in SouthAfrica is wicked. The AU should do more to improve free movement and trade among its members

Yet South Africa is the biggest host of other Nationalities including undocumented immigrants, we provide free health care (maybe not the best), employment & business opportunities.

This is true a huge responsibility for SA but no one sees it

Bringing the discussion close to home, we Ugandans need visas to SA but our neighbors in tz don't need.. What was the rationale ?
-
Tanzania is one of the few countries that played a major role in helping South Africa in its fight against Apartheid. There is actual proof detailing how Tanzania helped SA. That's why they do not require visa to come here.
-
Shockingly Uganda did too unless if our history was twisted
-
your country did not do a damn thing.

Boiling down the African travel just to visa is very misleading, if you have to talk about it bring all the issues related.

It’s so frustrating. Even after the AU passport (if it becomes reality), we still have flight costs to deal with. Too many factors make travel within Africa difficult. However, people are doing it regardless!
