I don't really like it when it is portrayed to the world as though African men are extremely rich. Housing and rent in Sub-Saharan Africa is a huge challenge irrespective of your sex Or country of origin. Every young person needs more money to acquire decent accommodation.

No one has who is able to pay their rents has been refused housing because of gender. This lie isn't helping the feminist course

But it is true most Landlords Men/Women are more likely to rent to a man than a woman based on their stereotype of single women popular one being women do not earn as much or more than men do.

🤔🤔🤔 1) Where is the survey to confirm that landlords are more likely to rent to men? 2) Where is the survey to confirm that they will rent to men bc women earn less?

Two landlords told me when I was searching for a flat that they will only rent to families bc single men are fond of noisy parties and may bring thieves into building. I don't whine about it bc it's their property so they call the shots. They are the ones losing clients

if you aren’t a single woman, and haven’t tried to rent a house in the areas highlighted in the article, your opinion is baseless.. i have been there, and i can tell you that the article is very informed and extremely close to the reality.

Lol at the people in this thread acting like Nigeria doesn't have an attitude towards single women I've heard stories of how hard it is to get a visa when you're a single woman. Hotels in general not wanting single women. A woman dining alone being suspected of prostitution

In Nigeria, your money gets you a home regardless of your gender. It is even more difficult for a man to rent or own an apartment. Cash is the determining factor not gender. I don't know where this is coming from.
