"Generation selfie" can enjoy the luxury of being stupid because of Mandela. Forty years ago they would have been smart enough to realise that he lost 27 years of his life for them and chose peace over what would have been a very bloody war that the indigenes would have lost

Nobody walks out of jail after almost 3 decades and become president, without a deal made. If he did genuinely. He would have taken all what was stolen.

Maybe he should have taken the Mugabe route of the Lancaster House Agreement then hold onto power while destroying the country

Yap. If an agreement is made it should be honored. Mugabe ddnt destroy the country, the economic sanctions put on the country by EU did.

Definitely a sellout. People can't eat vote. Political freedom without economic freedom is still a different kind of apartheid.

He delivered political freedom. He left it to others to deliver economic freedom. You expected him to dismantle the structures which took over 400 years to perfect in 4 years?

Leaving something for others? How many need to suffer more and how many more had to die? 400yrs is not long enough for black people to be allowed to farm their own land ha.. it wld hve been better if he gave economy freedom, money controls politics, not the other way around.

How was he to give economic freedom in a country with sanctions against it? How when many were given an inferior education, could not study economics and finance? Those who studied such could only do so outside of SA...!

Hmm are you're saying that all black south Africans were stupid so Madia couldn't trust entrusting them with their own country's economy? Sorry i didn't think i was talking to another racist who's trying to hold on to what's not his. Good luck living with that brain of yours.

I didn't say that, you can look up stats on black people and what they studied during Apartheid to very what I said, not your false interpretation of what I said. He did trust his people hence he stepped down unlike many across Africa.

So he trusted whites with SA economy because the blacks were only good enough for the political responsibility? Don't add up..

You are right, I didn't say that either. But tell me who you would have made finance minister back then? How would you have structured the country?

Mandela gave political freedom. Economic liberation was to be delivered by those who followed him. Anyone calling him a sellout are shallow minded life failures.
