Africa didn't win the cup for anybody. French citizens of African descent did; French citizens trained with French resources, trained by fellow French. The African continent has a lot of citizens don't want to go through the "stress" of developing it.https://twitter.com/BBCAfrica/status/1019189277119401984 …

It’s much less black and white (and I don’t mean race) than you make you sound. But OK, everyone’s entitled to their opinion ... however distasteful or borderline ignorant

"however distasteful or borderline ignorant" I don't know in which category you class my tweet but tell me this. African nations NEVER go anywhere in the football world cup. But the Western (developed) nations they represent do. Do you think it's happenstance?

Leave matter for Mathias you’ve said it all. African leaders should develop Africa and stop licking the buttocks of the westerners and Europeans .

I wish people would stop referring to parts of the French team as "Africans". They may have African roots but they're French! That's how good intentions result in something bad (racism in this case). And Maduro should rather stop starving his people than making dumb remarks.

Ask him why Africa players in African could not win it for themselves. France helped Africans with assimilation policies, if he doesn't know let him know.

Complacency mentality! Africans who believe this nonsense can salivate all they want, fool themselves all they want, but committed French citizens won the world cup and they may even win the next. Lineage does not bring football home, investment and hard work does!

True but France is still a country and have to maintain a decent standard of living. All immigrants want is a place to achieve their dreams. The best countries like France can do is to STOP supporting governments that oppress their people in Africa.

If it was a terror attack they’ll be like Ngolo Kante and Dembele of Mali 🇲🇱 Paul Pogba of Guinea Conakry 🇬🇳 Umtiti and Mbappe of Cameroon 🇨🇲 Benjamin of Senegal 🇸🇳 Matuidi and tolisso of Angola 🇦🇴 But it’s a success & putting African names in them is a crime now😥
