Making prisoners to work while in detention is part of the rehabilitation process, there is absolutely nothing wrong about working and contributing towards the cost of being incarcerated. Growing food for inmates and the surplus can be sold on the local market, no more freebies.

This shows how Tanzania is totalitarian States.
-
To make people work is totalitarianism to you?
-
Making them work "day and night," referring to feeding them as a shame, denying their conjugal visits are human rights violations that occur in totalitarian states. So, yes. Ignorance is how totalitarian states come to power. Don't be ignorant.
-
Before bringing all these nonsense you should be able to know those are the "prisoners" convicted criminals, JPM didn't order them to get harsh brutality but they need to just work simply for their meals.

His excellency president John Magufuli is right, prisoners should be allowed to work, but for the benefit of the state and not for private individuals. The prisoners also should be treated properly with rehabilitation at the centre of every prison policy.

Interesting. Now I can see a bias of a discussion I once moderated on
#Breakfast@Magic100FMUG Indeed, a prisoner is by nomenclature enduring a repercussion of whatever act they were found guilty of, thus...a sort of punishmentThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
