If only African nations know how much hate these white masters have for us we'll sit to think and emanticipate ourselves from more slavery and recolonization. We just need more history classes. We tend to forget easily.

Indeed! Let bygones be bygones but not forget them as they are part of history and the wheel of time cannot be unwound...

“I am one of a new generation of Africans who believe more in the power of dreams than in the power of memories...” It doesn’t have to be either/or. We can learn from the past and dream for the future.

I beg to differ. We are #SURVIVORS, not victims. So this "#getoverit notion is absolute nonsense. Slavery, Colonialism and post colonial lived experiences and the impact on survivors cannot be written off, because millions died and nations dispossessed of their resources.

Can we stop re-playing this worn out record? I guess the author of this piece thinks she gets to pick and choose who should get over abuse, neglect, and denial.

As annoying as Macron sounds it will be interesting to know that even Nigerian gov took away history lessons from Nig schools so issues like Biafra will not be remembered. So Macron and Nig gov I give you all the "middle finger".
