As a startup, your customers are often buying a vision, not a product. Hold true to your promises, deliver quickly, and ultimately fulfill on the vision to attract and retain customers.

Ever leave something behind and instantly regret it? I re-wrote the scp protocol to multicast to multiple servers at once at my previous job and I really wish I had that script right about now...

My product management advice for startup founders. YOU are a big part of the MVP. As soon as a buyer cuts you a check, that’s your MVP. That buyer is betting on YOU, Thus, that MVP is WAY smaller than you think! Never ask “Would you buy”, ask “WILL you buy”. No hypotheticals

In tech I admire companies like Basecamp, who have been around since 1999. With new things launching all the time, I often wonder who will still be around, 5 years post launch. These are products, I think stand a chance of being around for a while. I'll update as time goes on:

Why is venture capitalism so polarizing? I rarely see people taking a middle ground stance on it. I think it's great because it fuels innovation that would otherwise likely be impossible, but is not the right choice for most businesses.

I'm excited to share a new feature that we added to Cloud Campaign this past week. Content Approvals -- The Streamlined Way to Approve Social Media Content. We aim to provide a simple and transparent way for agencies and SMBs to seek content approval.

It's an awesome feeling releasing new features in the background and getting messages like this from a customer! Also, yes, we provide support over Slack, email, Zoom, etc... If you're a customer and want Slack support, DM me 😊 cc:

Q: Recommendations for improving team empathy towards customers in a new company? A: Everyone does support! "... Seeing a stat like, '17 people emailed in about this issue' pales in comparison to personally replying to one emotional customer email."

2/2 this doesn't leave much time to work on the product. We're hiring our first developer next week to help keep up with demand. Is this a normal transition to move out of a functional role as the company grows?

Founders / Makers 👋 How has your role/focus changed growing from 10 -> 50 customers, 50 -> 200 customers? I find it harder to carve out time to focus on product... Some days I'll be pulled into 3 demos, have 2 support requests, and an internal strategy meeting...
