    Exactly. Journalism’s relationship to US state power never more on display. It all actually makes one really miss the Shah, who saw it all coming in the crumbling of journalistic deference.

    MBS comments brings to mind the Shah’s interviews with Mike Wallace and Oriana Fallaci, except the Shah would get serious push back from journalists when he said things like this.
