    Bold move, to conflate criticism of Israel with blood libel, racism and offence, and critique of your fraff points with diminishing antisemitism. Try it without flailing next time.

    I see that is literally downplaying the most evil of all the medieval lies told about the Jews. Say what you like about Johnson, but he’s not claiming that Muslims drink the blood of children.

    “Islamophobia is a made up word” yeah well so is ‘rectangle’, but it’s still useful for describing 4 sided shapes which aren’t squares, kites, rhombuses or them ones which look like drunk rectangles.

    Islamophobia is an entirely made-up term intended to shield Islam from criticism. Trying to lash it together with anti-semitism (which IS racist) is either a result of trying to deflect from Labour's AS problem, censoriousness or political illiteracy. Or all three.

    Great thread from Nikesh the OG. It’s strange that to certain white men, protecting free speech stretches only as far as insisting that any old bollocks another white man says is inherently worth listening to. Funny how they never get that het up about Prevent policing dissent.

    But the crucial thing I keep coming back to, and it's highlighted by Rowan Atkinson's comments, is that funny is not always funny. And a good comedian will work out who's laughing and who isn't.
