There hasn't been a male Senator from California since 1992. Seems like the women have been doing okay for the past three decades. Why stop now?

Not going backwards would be appointing a Jamaican/Indian woman. Going forward would be appointing somebody from the most underrepresented communities in California, the Hispanic or South-east Asian communities.
