Hey #gamedev people- I've noticed that here in Australia, in the last few years, there's a high use of the term "gaming" to refer to gamedev. eg, "Gaming Industry" = "Game Development Industry."
I think of "Gaming" as different: either poker machines or game players.
Thoughts?
In Vegas they call slots and such "gaming". You have to specify "video" in order for people to understand you aren't talking about gambling.

Has that been a term there for a long time? I know Aristocrat (Aus company, main studio in Sydney) now has an office in Vegas. They've been using the term "Gaming" for many years.
