I had a mini-seizure we call an aftershock. Every 3 to 4 days I have a larger seizure unprompted, no trigger required. After it, I usually have teeny tiny aftershocks that last a couple seconds. Well I had one and my family heard my rib pop so loudly they thought I had broke it.

When I regained awareness, the pain I was in was so intense I thought I was having a heart attack. AJ was worried I had a punctured lung, and they rushed me to the hospital. I didn't break it. It's still just strained. Apparently I was supposed to be taking deep breaths.

I honestly didn't know that I was supposed to push through the pain and take a few deep breaths every few minutes and force myself to cough hard every hour or so I don't get pneumonia. Why the fuck is pneumonia on the table over a strained rib?

Maybe it's like the reflex to cough is subdued so bacteria could get in there unless you force yourself to do it?
