    Is it wrong that my impression of concept artists is that they have nigh miraculous powers of imagination and artistry and wonder what incredibleness would result if they made their own games/movies

        Being an artist and a game designer are hugely different disciplines though. Taking all that great art and imagination and making it into something fun to play is pretty tough. That fact that you put everything together and made an excellent game is amazing and isn't the norm.

        When I work my wife's booth at art fairs (so she can take a break) I'm constantly fielding questions about her creativity. I don't have a clue how artists' brains work. :)
